Milan boasts the greatest number of contemporary art galleries in Italy; the most interesting foundations and an impressive number of cultural associations promoting young art; prestigious public and private academies and schools; the most attentive collectors; a community of young artists from all over the world; well-established and dynamic publishing houses.

An “art network” (InContemporanea) is currently in the making. It involves all the players in the contemporary art field, even the most isolated, whether public or private, individual or associated. The aim is for this network to become a tool for the re-qualification of the whole metropolitan area of Milan. One of the goals of this project is, in fact, to reinforce and integrate the offering of all the cultural facilities available in the province of Milan.
