Milano Metropoli Development Agency was commissioned by the Bresso, Cologno Monzese and Sesto San Giovanni town councils to coordinate the construction of four new industrial cluster for small-medium enterprises and artisanal businesses and to supervise the process of selecting the firms to occupy the new spaces.
An open bid was organized to select the firms according to criteria such as the degree of innovation, environmental compatibility, a fairly solid business activity and the potential for creating new jobs.
The winning firms, supported by the Agency at every stage of the proceedings, created their own cooperatives to supervise the building of these industrial parks.
The Agency also helps the firms to find sources of credit and public funding to help them buy and build industrial sheds, invest in new manufacturing equipment and recruit manpower.
Milano Metropoli frequently involves the firms currently occupying these industrial parks in schemes and projects designed to promote the development of local industry through innovation, new technologies, financing, energy saving and social responsibility.
