Milano Metropoli Development Agency is working alongside local agencies in the Milan area to promote the creation of new, low-cost, productive clusters, dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and to craft businesses. To this end, and in partnership with local town councils, Milano Metropoli has launched a concrete scheme to identify areas available for new industrial parks.
In order to monitor the real demand for industrial spaces, our Agency has started recording the show of interest on the part of SMEs, inviting them to fill in a simple questionnaire, which can be accessed from this page.
This scheme is addressed to all SMEs and craft businesses, in any sector, interested in:
-
moving to new premises or industrial sites that are more efficient, both from the functional and from the energy/environmental sustainability point of view;
-
consolidating their own estate by purchasing property, in public or private ecologically equipped industrial areas.
The information given in the questionnaire will be used exclusively by Milano Metropoli for its survey of the demand for industrial areas. Companies filling in the questionnaire will be kept up to date about the various opportunities that arise, about where the relevant facilities are located and how they will be assigned.
If new industrial areas are assigned via the publication of a public competition, companies will be selected by a technical commission and according to the criteria established in the competition.
The aim of this scheme is to give SMEs concrete support, not only to combat the economic downturn but, especially, to help them consolidate their business and improve their competitive edge.
The scheme is promoted by Milano Metropoli within the context of a project entitled "Actions to combat the SME crisis" supported by the Province of Milan. The seven Town Councils of North Milan and some from the North West have joined the scheme.
