Milano Metropoli considers Corporate Social Responsibility a key strategic factor right across the board: manufacturing, business and public profit and non-profit organizations. For years our Agency has been working to improve business ethics and to promote social responsibility as a lever for innovation both in enterprise and in our local systems.
One of the most significant initiatives in this context - devised by Milano Metropoli in partnership with BIC La Fucina - was "Dal Dire al Fare" [from Words to Actions]: the Corporate Social Responsibility forum recognized by the CSR Europe network as Italy's first marketplace on this subject.
"Dal Dire al Fare" promotes meetings and exchanges of ideas between the profit and non-profit world, the Public Administration and the Universities on major social responsibility issues. Unique in Italy, this event provides the opportunity for very different worlds to come together and discuss a common subject in order to develop joint concrete projects with a strong ethical connotation.
Milano Metropoli Development Agency has been promoting this initiative since 2005 along with BIC La Fucina, Province of Milan, the Lombardy Region, Koinetica and Fondazione Sodalitas, and in partnership with the city's leading universities. Since 2009 the forum has been able to count on the scientific cooperation of Milan's Bocconi University.
Between 2005 and 2009, "Dal Dire al Fare" enjoyed a steady rise in the participation of both exhibitors and visitors:
-
250 organizations taking part (sponsors, exhibitors, partners, etc.)
-
150 different initiatives (conferences, workshops, meetings)
-
over 400 speakers
-
10,000 visitors (business managers and public administrations, no-profit organizations, lecturers, students, etc.).
