Milano Metropoli is committed to promoting economic sectors that are strategic for Milan's industrial system, those that can create added value, innovation and jobs.
These sectors involve both SMEs and social enterprises - key to Milan's competitive edge - and also segments of excellence such as fashion, design, publishing, biotech, I.T. and other activities linked to the creative industries.
- Creative industries: we invent initiatives in favour of the creative economy, of those manufacturing and service sectors that can generate new wealth and intellectual property, innovate and breathe new life into traditional manufacturing activities.
- Design: we devise innovative projects that can bring the university and design world into contact with SMEs and promote the businesses and operators that constitute the Milanese design industry and characterize it worldwide.
- Biotechnologies: our Agency has helped the Province of Milan and the Lombardy Region to set up the BioMilano network of players operating in the biotech sector in metropolitan Milan.
- SMEs: we provide business incubators, facilities and advanced services to boost the system of small and medium-sized enterprises, promoting new start-ups and helping them grow.
- Social Economy: we involve the Social Economy in territorial development processes and create services to support and develop the no profit world, especially social enterprises.
